At the parliement session on June 25th, a new government subsidized loan program will be adopted. This program is aimed at helping local companies in purchasing serbian-made software. Program will start on Monday, June 28th and it features 12 months grace, 3 year repayment and 7.5% interest rate, Dinikic told the press while visiting PSTech.

"All companies that wanted to buy local software, now can do so, from serbian companies. We also help local sw companies, which employ young IT engineers-the future and brains of our country.", Dinkic said and reminded a hardware subsidized loan program is already approved.

Minister remarked that currently, there is a lack of IT engineers in Serbia, and encouraged young people to enroll electrical engineering school, because it will be easier to get a job.

Minister for Telecommunications and Information society Jasna Matic, said that the government subsidized loan program is important for improving serbian software industry and that the credit support will be "an important step for improving our industry competitivness"

PSTech CEO,Branka Radovanović pointed out that the company strongly supports this program, since IT is not only production and export opportunity of our country, but also a foundation for efficient business and market competitivness of any company.

Radovanović added taht PSTech currently employs 102 persons and is primarily doing business for foreign markets and world-leading IT companies.

There are more 1.400 IT companies in Serbia, employing 10.000 people, with annual 2009 turnover of 424M eur.

IT export in last year, grew to 130M eur.
